What is a Growth Check?
The Growth Check is a free online assessment from Clay Consulting for therapists, counsellors, psychotherapists and other wellbeing practitioners in private practice in the UK. It asks about 25 questions about how your practice finds clients, turns enquiries into bookings and runs day to day. It scores six areas out of ten and identifies the one area with most room to grow. You see your results as soon as you finish, and receive a full personalised report by email.

Why isn't my therapy practice growing?
Most practices that stall do so for one of a few reasons: not enough enquiries, enquiries not becoming clients, people not finding you online, or it not being clear who the practice is for. From the inside these look alike, because a quiet diary can come from any of them. The Growth Check scores each one, so you can see which is most likely in your case.
Is my report written by AI?
No. It's built from fixed rules and text written in advance, so it's based only on your answers, and two people who give the same answers get the same report.
Can I take it before I've started private practice?
Yes. If you're training, or haven't seen private clients yet, you'll get a shorter version about what to have in place before you start.
How is it different from a Growth Strategy?
The Growth Check is a free, automated self-assessment based on your answers. A Growth Strategy is a paid, in-depth review by George of your actual practice: your website, listings, search visibility and local competition. The Growth Check tells you where to look. A Growth Strategy does the looking.
What happens to my answers?
They're stored securely and used to create your report. We'll only send you anything else if you tick the box to say you'd like it, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time. See our privacy notice.
