We'll ask you to confirm this when you create your account. It's how we keep the tool useful for practitioners and appropriate for the people who'll eventually read these pages.
Common Questions
Why are you offering a free website?
Because we know what it costs to start out. Training is expensive, supervision is expensive, insurance is expensive, and all of it lands before your first client does. Then you're told you need a website too.
Being findable shouldn't be the thing that waits until you can afford it. A free page is the least we can do, and it's the part we're best placed to do.
Is it really free?
Yes. No card details, no trial period, no cost that appears later. Build is free to use for as long as you want it.
We also run paid services, and if your practice grows to the point where you need more than a single page, we'd like you to consider us. But Build works perfectly well on its own, and plenty of people will never need anything else. That's a good outcome.
Who can use Build?
Qualified therapists and counsellors, and practitioners still in training who are preparing to practise. We'll ask you to confirm which applies when you create your account.
We keep it to practitioners for a straightforward reason: the people who eventually read these pages are often looking for help at a difficult moment, and it matters that what they find is genuine. Accounts that misuse Build are removed with immediate effect.
Does my page go live straight away?
Every page is checked by a person before it goes live. It's usually quick, and we'll email you when it's published. We do it because these pages are read by people looking for help, and a light human check is the simplest way to keep that trustworthy.
I'm still in training. Can I use it?
Yes. Setting things up before you qualify means the page is ready when you are, rather than becoming another job for the week you finish.
Worth checking your training organisation's guidance on how trainees present themselves publicly, since it varies and some have specific requirements about how you describe your status.
Do I need to be any good with technology?
No. You pick a template, fill in your details, and submit it. If you can write an email, you can use Build.
What can I do with the page once it's live?
Use the link anywhere someone might be looking for you. Your directory profile, your social media bio, your email signature, or in reply to anyone who asks what you do.
Can I change it later?
