Growing your practice
Start with a Practice Health Check. See exactly what's working, what isn't, and where the next clients are.
You've put in the years. You have a caseload, a way of working, and a practice that runs. But "running" and "growing" aren't the same thing — and somewhere underneath the day-to-day, there's usually untapped potential going quietly unused.
Why practices plateau
Almost no established practice plateaus because the therapy isn't good enough. It plateaus because the things around the therapy stopped keeping up.
A website built years ago that no longer reflects how you work. Directory listings half-finished or pointing the wrong way. A booking process with just enough friction that some enquiries quietly drop off. Admin spread across enough different tools that it's eating evenings without anyone deciding it should. None of it dramatic — each one just a small, invisible tax on growth.
The hard part isn't fixing these things. It's seeing them. When you're inside a practice every day, the friction becomes background noise — normal, unnoticed, and very hard to prioritise. What's missing usually isn't effort. It's a clear, outside look at where the practice is actually losing ground.
That's what a Practice Health Check is for.
What a Practice Health Check looks atA structured look across the whole practice — not just the obvious bits — to find where growth is actually being held back.
Step 1 How you're found
Your website, your search visibility, your directory listings, your Google presence. The whole path a potential client travels before they ever reach your booking page — and the points along it where they're quietly dropping off.
Step 2 How you convert
What happens once someone does find you. Whether your site actually sounds like you, whether it speaks to the clients you want, and whether enquiring and booking is effortless or just friction-y enough to lose people.
Step 3How you run
The day-to-day machinery — booking, payments, reminders, admin. Where your time is going, what's spread across too many tools, and what could quietly run itself instead of running you.
Step 4Where you’re heading
Your positioning and your specialism. Whether the practice still reflects the therapist you've become — and whether there's a sharper, more deliberate direction worth moving toward.
It all comes back to you as one prioritised report — not a list of problems, but a clear order of what to do first.
what you walk away withA Practice Health Check isn't a conversation that evaporates — it's something concrete you can act on.
1 A written report
A clear, readable assessment of your practice across all four areas — how you're found, how you convert, how you run, and where you're heading. No jargon, no padding. Just an honest picture of where things stand and what's holding growth back.
2A prioritised action plan
The part that actually matters: everything we've found, put in order. What to do first, what can wait, and what to leave well alone. Quick wins flagged separately from the bigger projects — so you can start with something small the same week if you want to.
3A walkthrough call
An hour together to talk through the report properly — so it's not a document you read once and file away. A chance to ask questions, push back, and decide what you actually want to take forward.
The whole thing is straightforward: a short intro call, a look under the bonnet of your practice, then your report and walkthrough — usually within a couple of weeks of starting.
And if you decide you'd like help putting the plan into action, that's a conversation we can have — but there's no obligation, and no pressure to.
What you can count on
A few things that hold true for every Practice Health Check.
An honest assessment, not a sales pitch
The report tells you what we actually find — including the things that are working well, and the things genuinely not worth changing. If the best advice is "leave it as it is," that's what it'll say. The value is in the honesty, not in handing you a long list of problems.
Yours to act on, however you want
The plan is yours. Take it forward with us, take it to someone else, or work through it slowly in your own time — there's no obligation either way. A Practice Health Check is genuinely useful as a one-off, and it's designed to be.
A clear scope, and a clear price
You'll know exactly what's included and exactly what it costs before you commit to anything. No creeping scope, no surprise add-ons — a defined piece of work, with a defined outcome.
Straightforward, honest, and useful on its own terms.
What it costs
A Practice Health Check is a one-off £250. That covers the full review across all four areas, your written report, the prioritised action plan, and the walkthrough call.
There's no subscription attached and nothing to cancel. If you decide afterwards that you'd like help putting the plan into action, that's a separate conversation — and entirely up to you.
One clear price for a defined, genuinely useful piece of work.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
No — and we've tried hard to build it so it isn't. A Practice Health Check is a complete, useful piece of work on its own. The report tells you what we genuinely find, including what's working and what's not worth changing. If you'd like help acting on the plan afterwards, that's there if you want it — but plenty of people take the report and run with it themselves, and that's a perfectly good outcome.
-
That's usually exactly when it's most useful. "Fine" is comfortable, which makes it hard to see what's quietly capping growth. A Health Check isn't for practices in trouble — it's for practices that work, run by people who suspect there's more on the table and want a clear, outside read on where it is.
-
No — that's not what this is. The report is a prioritised plan, not a problem list. It flags what's working as much as what isn't, and it's deliberately ordered: quick wins, bigger projects, and the things genuinely best left alone. You should finish it with a sense of direction, not a sense of being marked down.
-
Usually a couple of weeks from the first short call to your report and walkthrough. The main variable is how quickly we can get access to the things we need to review — once we have those, the work itself is fairly quick.
-
Then we talk it through — that's what the walkthrough call is for. It's a conversation, not a verdict. You know your practice and your clients better than anyone; the report is an outside perspective to weigh against that, not a set of instructions to follow.
-
Not at all. The Health Check is a one-off, with nothing attached and nothing to cancel. If you want to take the next steps with us, great — but there's no obligation, no auto-renewal, and no pressure. It's genuinely designed to be useful even if we never speak again.
